Oh brother!
This may be a good time for the so-called 'religious right' in the US to reflect on the one aspect of their teachings which they seem to ignore from time, but which fits well with the events of this week; the scripture which notes with some foresight it seems that the weak shall inherit the earth. Congress cannot be said to constitute the earth, but it does hold sway over a good portion of it. For the moment at least the weak should be satisfied with inheriting the upper and lower house of Congress from the religious right. And let us see now what else the weak may achieve.
