Give it a while and lets see where this takes us (the world).
Tough love follows shortly as it is unlikely that the world (that would be 'us') is likely to step in to the breach when the US debt machine grinds to an inevitable halt sometime soon - winter 2009 or early 2010.
The banks should be allowed to go down with the rest of the so called 'system' - the world can survive quite cheerfully without the US. It is arrogant to think otherwise. No offense guys, but hey, enough already.
